Cascade Crescendo recorded their first studio album in March 2016 at The Hallowed Halls in Portland, Oregon. Produced by Avi Brown, “Caught in the Rain” features fiddle player, Allie Kral (Yonder Mountain String Band) on five tracks and a guest appearance by drummer Nick Werth (Yak Attack, Ghost Note, GALAXE).

Caught in the Rain shows off a range of the band's style from the rippin' banjo burner "Weekend at Harry's" to Americana ballads like "On the Other Side" and "If I was a Ramblin' Man" to the psycheledic jams of "1040". The album includes 11 original songs and a nostalgic cover of the Smashing Pumpkins song "Disarm", consistently a crowd favorite at their live shows.

Caught in the Rain is... "an impressive debut for this young band and one that leaves you wondering what they will be capable of as the continue to grow as musicians" - Glide Magazine (2016)
